Just upgraded to fiber optic today for phone/internet. Advertised package said 50 downland and 20 upload. After testing I have an average of 46 download and 16 upload. My previous was 15 download and 1 upload. I am SO happy right now since a LOT of my work depends on uploading literally hundreds of pictures. Plus, just think of all that porn I can now get THAT much faster :) :)...jk

I can only dream about getting fiber... My city has an agreement with a criminal cable company that over charges for 5mb Down 512kb Up. that 50 down 20 up sounds amazing!

And just to prove I'm not lying...:) Tested multiple times with speedtest.net. Tests where preformed around 1500 ish with a server across state. I also tested with servers in California (YouTube is located in San Bruno, California) and got an average of 20 download and 5 upload (server depending, I got 30 download sometimes).

I've home run CAT5 wire all over my house and I'm a little over 150 feet from the router and my internet goes through a switch before it gets to me, so I have a little line loss. But I've been told that if I get CAT6 wire I will be able to get slightly faster speeds. 50/50 on pulling CAT6 right now.
