Hey Andy,
You doing anythigng special for Fiddleback BLACK FRIDAY?
How about 20% off bushfingers if we come on line before 5 AM???

Best photo of a Fiddleback carving a turkey wins your choice of one of the following:
1: a free sheath and shipping
2: option to order one custom Fiddleback to customer specs (at normal price).
3. Custom Fiddleback firesteel (still holding out for these!)

I'm gonna say that I hope that Fiddleback Black Friday consists of no batch because Andy isn't in the shop over the holiday. :)

I like the sound of this one. :) I wonder if there is a chance for a big batch next Friday?


By the way, I may have something fun on the sheath front for next Friday. ;)
 
As long as this is a "Thanksgiving" themed thread,

I'd like to give thanks that Andy Roy had the grit and courage to open up his own business in tough economic times.

He had family, house, dog (well, more or less, it's a Boxer- :) ), and no experience running his own shop, nor much in professional-level knife-making on a volume level.

And look what he built: FiddlebackForge !

I'm thankful.
 
Give the man a break. I would not be offended if this Friday Andy posts no knives for sale. He sure deserves some time off just like the rest of us.

My dogs would appreciate custom fit Fiddleback hats. One in brown, and the other black.
Sweaters would work too, since they seem to be ashamed of their current sweaters.
Oh, and ... talon-like gloves for the feet. Convexed talons on the front feet and scandi on the back.

You guys are the best....

I am thankful that we all live in a country where a really talented guy like Andy can take a risk and create something fantastic and then have a free market with great guys like you to buy and enjoy his stuff. At times I don't believe we all fully appreciate how good we really have it.

I'm with you - let the man enjoy the Holiday with his family.
It may just make a bigger batch the following week. :)
 
I, for one, will be disappointed if there are knives available on Friday. Andy and team work hard, VERY hard, all year long and while I respect his purview to sell knives if he wants, and the pressures/demands of running a small business, I think he has more than earned a day off to spend with his family.

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving and take a moment to appreciate those whom you hold dear.
 
+1 on that. But, I sure could use a new Fiddleback hat Blaze orange/camo for the season. Structured with velcro closure. Hey Santa Andy, I think I've been good this year. Still a month left though, I could have problems.
