Fiddleback Bushcrafter Stock Thickness Differences

Hello,

I noticed that the Fiddleback web site specifications for the Bushcrafter model uses either 1/8" or 5/32" stock. These three YouTube video links posted in the past week appear to show that the Bushcraft model spine is much thicker; probably approaching 1/4" stock. Were any Bushcrafter models ever made with thicker stock or is it just the camera angle distorting the perceived thickness?

Something tells me those guys in the first three vids ain't from around here.:D;)

Definitely looks thicker to me than even 3/16". Looks like 1/4". I'm guessing it's a custom order Andy did, if you notice the flats are satin finished instead of the usual heat treat scale left on, too.
Just a guess, though.

You're right about them not being from around these parts, but the particular model they're holding certainly looks like it can do some serious chopping relative to the thinner stock versions.

That guy in the first vid looked like a buzzsaw going. That knife is definately very thick around 1/4" i'd say if not more. Thanks for the vids.

I got a bar of 0.211" thick 01 steel once. I think I made two woodsmen and a bushie w it. That bushie went out to Bulgaria. Neato. I'd not seen the vids.

Yeah someone posted a link to a review of that knife that on a Bulgarian forum in the Bushfinger thread in the general knife reviews. I can't read a damned word of it but guy seems really pleased and some great pics too.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'd be interested in the event some additional .211" O1 ever makes it into the shop again.:)
