Hi guys,

My F2 showed up today so it got it's first taste of some meat with the steak I cooked for dinner. It's a cool little knife so far but obviously, I haven't been able to use it for what it's designed for yet. Soon though...

It did have some trouble prepping the sweet potato I was cutting up but it's not the knife's fault. My Padre could barely get through it. The potato was one of the thickest I've ever tried to cut up. It cut like a scalpel on the meat though! Hopefully this little guy is going to get some time on some ducks over Thanksgiving when I go home to my family's farm in Alabama. I'm not sure how the pheasant hunting is going to go this year out here in WA because the Springer that usually went with us got into some poison and had to be put down over the summer. He was a really good dog and will be missed.

I reallly liked that model and feel like I'm about to do a lot more of them. Pics if you get ducks, etc.

THANKS
!!!!

if you make it through north alabama give me a shout if you want to shoot some ducks and laugh at the swan creek madness.

That F2 looks about perfect for its intended use. You going to have a dangle sheath or a belt one? In Wisconsin, a great deal of the time, the weather demands clothing that can make it hard to get to the knife on a belt. I've come to understand the Scandinavian sheath design which makes it much easier to access the blade--although I've never needed a "quick draw" knife sheath. :)

I'm sorry about your dog. At least 50% of the joy of upland hunting for me is the dog work. Some folks don't understand, but a bird dog is really a partner, sometimes more than other humans.

Nice acquisition.

Ah, I wish there were more shots up. I love this model.

I still hope to get a thin stock stainless one for my for my dad some day!!

My 1/32 CPM F2 is probably one my favorite fiddlebacks; it lives in the kitchen and is used daily

Thanks for bumping this thread! Isn't that the first F2 that was made?

I would have a very hard time getting rid of my F2. I consider it my first Fiddleback, though I did have a Patch that I got from a dealer for a little while before it. The F2 was the first one that came from a FB Friday, thanks to necrolicious!

Mine is 3/32 CPM154 with maroon canvas over white and natural.
