Figured this was long overdue... Do you have any knives outside Fiddleback Forge but still in the Fiddleback family that you adore? WAS, Valkyrie, 40 points, JF and Dogwood all have released some great blades. Any you endorse?

Personally I'll rave on the Echo-5. I love the thin stock and handle ergoes. That bad boy just bites and slices through wood. I'd also love to get my hands on a Trailhiker, waiting for his books to open.

One blade that really intrigues me is the WAS Georgia traveler. When is he gonna start making some more of those...

I've had the opportunity to own 5 different Alfa Knives and couldn't be happier with them.

I had a Fletcher BOXL which I regret selling but it was to buy a Fiddleback.

I got my first WAS knife a couple weeks ago, a Badger in 154cm with burl handles. I really like it a lot. I find myself always reaching for it first when choosing to carry a knife that size.

I really don't think I'll ever go outside the "family" to buy a knife again. These guys just know what they are doing and their knives work for me.

It all depends on what my mood is when I get off work...but one thing is guaranteed one of the "family" is on my hip till I go to bed.

That guy Dylan and Allen make some pretty nice knives too though

Here's some of my GA Knife Maker's. While Andy is definitely my favorite maker .. you just wouldnt believe some of the talent we have here in Georgia.
These are just a few .. and seriously, the GA Knifemaker Guild is DEEP with very talented makers.

Allen's Short muck and that Beauty from Crex get me every time great examples of quality craftsmanship

Great thread! Its a source of pride for me to have worked with such a lineup of craftsmen.

I've had the pleasure of owning two knives by Dan Eastland (Dogwood), the Echo-5 and the relatively new model in Hawkins.

Echo-5 is a great example of a handle that is relatively thin (say compared to a contoured coke-bottle handles of woodlore style knives, which I do love) yet still very comfortable and versatile. The Hawkins in 3/32" I have is the best slicer I have in scandi. Have very thick handles that I love, and the broad blade profile is very good for both bushcraft and food prep. Another thing I also like about Dan's knives is he encourages people to get thinner blade knives, which I love for most bushcraft tasks. I've seen his more recent works, and his fit and finish seem to be improving all the time.

My custom Echo-5 in O1 in 1/8" with butternut scale and black micarta bolster

My Hawkins (this wasn't custom order, was a '14 Blade Show model obtained through USAMADEBLADE) in O1 in 3/32" with French finished bloodwood

I actually met Andy through Dylan, and had a Fletcher knife before I had a Fiddleback. I have had a few of them over the years, and a Fletcher Pro 6-5 goes everywhere I go, either in my camera case or on my belt. I also have a couple by Allen that I need to do more photos of. I slept most of the day after the surgery, and my head is a little funny still. If the weather gets more cooperative the next few days you'll see one of the WAS knives here, and I'll try to post some pics of the ones I have and have had. We all know Andy does some amazing handle work, but Dylan does also, and his thoughts on blades come from a somewhat darker place that really appeals to my darker side. Andy is my escape from the tactical world, my Fiddlebacks are my hit the woods in peace and relax blades. They are beautiful with sexy curves, sublimely handled, and function like nobody's business, But if and when the time came to go dark and stay there... I'd walk into the apocalypse carrying a Fletcher, and know I was well equipped :)

I was on a little solo hike, couple of nights on the wilderness boundary. Nothing too adventurous, ran into a few people, but still feels nice to have the BOXL on the belt. Its a pretty big knife and my hands aren't, but its a pleasure to hold that's for sure.

It is an honor to not only be a part of the Fiddleback Family, but an honor to have such great customers who have not only supported my personal knives, but also allow me the privledge of contributing to the production of the Fiddlebacks. I have been blessed to have great teachers and mentors, Scott Davidson, Andy Roy, Dylan Fletcher, and not to mention others along the way over the past year and half. Thank you to everyone for all of the support in both lines, you each contribute to allowing us to follow our dreams and passions creating these artistic tools!

I've got a Dogwood Trailhiker in a scandi grind that I am extremely fond of. It really is an incredibly capable knife that begs to devour wood. From the grip to the grind it's executed flawlessly.

I would love to see a pic Munoz.

Here is my humble collection of WAS knives.

I want to try a Fletcher delta 5 if anyone has one they want to let go.
