What's up all. Anybody interested in getting a Fiddleback Fantasy football league together? If we can get 8-12 teams it should be fun. I thought we could all put in some cash to make it interesting, though I'm not sure if that is appropriate to discuss on the forum. If your interested, please discuss below. We should be able to get an online draft together pretty easily.

Sure man. I'd play. Maybe we could toss in enough to get the winner a knife

Hells ya! Once we get enough players we can hash out the details such as buy in, rules, elect a commissioner, etc. Thanks for your interest buddy.

I've never done it before and have NO idea how it all works, but I've wanted to. If you all could tutor me, I'd be game. A knife for the winner sounds cool. Keep me posted.

Sure thing pal. It's not as complicated as it sounds. You would need to participate in the draft which will likely be during the evening in the states, which may be a bit inconvenient for you. After you get your team together it can be as simple or time consuming as you want.

How do we draft teams? I've only ever done one fantasy football league, and it was a neighborhood thing. I'm kinda ignorant here.

I'd be game, so long as we do it in yahoo fantasy league.

The draft happens on a website at a certain date and time. it then rotates through the teams and everyone get's to pick their players. takes about 45 minutes if there's 10 teams of guys who pick relatively quickly.

It's pretty easy and done completely online. We will be assigned a draft time, and you log into the league a few minutes before. You can rank your players and have the computer draft for you automatically (this option doesn't require you to even be there during the draft), or you can physically be at the computer and draft in person. You'll be able to see who everyone drafted, and who is left, before you make your choice.

If y'all wouldn't mind another brand new player I would love to give it a try. Can't promise I will be doing any good but I've always wanted to give it a try.

This is going to be cool. Seems like right now there is a mix of experienced guys and newbies like Imrahil, Fiddleback, and I!

If there's still spots open, will you count me in? I have never done the Fantasy Football thing either.

Oh yeah, I was reading Fantasy Football for Dummies (yeah, I'm just that ignorant!) and ESPN's page about it and they recommend 12 teams as agood size league.

Another note, Fantasty Football (FF) and Fiddleback Forge (FF) just to seem to go hand in hand! Should be the FFFF League.

Just quit the league I was in for 12 years, cause I was overly obsessive...Spent way too much time on it during the season, it was getting stressful at times...LOL.
But I'm game if you need a player to make this happen.

So how many of the guys saying "I've never done this before but I'm game" are like the sharks at the pool hall that lose the bet for the beer and then sink the 8 ball on the break when the real money hits the table? ;) :D

Count me in! Someone needs to set up a league on ESPN FF site or with SI or one of the others. It's easy to have an online draft, kind of fun like a Fiddleback Friday. The draft for my regular league is this Sunday night and with the regular season just around the corner, we need to get on this.

I would be willing to help with setup if needed.

Haha, I figured this was coming. I have always wanted to try out FF but never had a large enough group of people and it just seems like it would be boring as hell to play by yourself. Plus, I was always more interested in the real thing.
