Just wondering...who owns one? What does your fighter look like? And do you still make that model Andy? I noticed it wasn't listed on your website. Post pictures if can, thanks.

The only ones I have ever seen in person were on Andy's table at Bade three or four years ago.

They kinda look like Bushboots on steroids, want!!

Some really nice scandies as well! Was this pic from the same show where you got that epic bolstered scandi Hiking Buddy, Mist?

Yes they do don't they :D

Yep, that would be the one. I believe it was Kal El that got the bolstered Black Palm one I would later regret not snagging :)

Oh man, so many nice knives in that last pic. I didn't know Andy made that many scandies back then, I wish I had started looking for knives on the internet a few years earlier.

Is the Palm one the convexed one or that other bolstered scandi HB in that pic? I find it hard to believe you can have any regrets whatsoever with the one you did score that day though, your (wife's) scandi HB is still the best looking Fiddleback I've ever seen imo. I've been really tempted to offer you an insane amount of money for it a few times already

The Black Palm is the convexed one. I learned that for my all around uses, that scandi in anything thicker than about 3/32 doesn't work for me.

Sorry, but that was something that sold in order for us to survive last winter. Since she likes the Bushboot model better anyway. I am hoping to land her a similar Bushboot with a convex grind, then I can have my Blackwood Bushboot back :D

I love that beautiful green shadetree scandi bushcraft karda. That would be a Grail for me. At least I know where the Osage scandi bushcraft karda on the left went. :D

What an absolutely stunning bunch of knives! That bolstered scandi arete on the bottom right is just incredible. That would also be a Grail for me.

I often wonder where are these knives now....

Oh man, it's a good thing I haven't been to Blade Show. I think I might have to try to buy the whole table from Andy looking at those pics lol.

Blade can get expensive, but it's a lot of fun :)

A few photos from Blade, and damn it was hard to set that Kephart back down!

Aaw, I'm really sorry to hear you had to sell that one Mist. Not for myself, I'm very happy with my scandi Buckeye burl HB, but that was such a beauty. Did someone from the forum buy it? Just curious if we'll ever get to see it again.

1/8 is about the thinest I ever used in scandi knives, besides Mora knives anyway (those never really grew on me though, so I haven't used them a lot). I am curious to try a scandi Fiddleback in 3/32 though.

ps: I'll be attending my first knife-exhibit on the 8th of April 2015 here in the Netherlands. Feel like making an appearance there Andy? I'll give you a free tour of my country if you show up

Yeah Edge, you should make your way there one June, if I can manage the trip from Northern Michigan, Virginia shouldn't be that difficult :)

Yeah, you do what you must to survive. Given the choice, I would still have that Hiking Buddy and the Bushfinger, but I was at a point of not using either, and in -14F highs and -39 lows when the propane tank ran out in the same month when two of my employers suddenly decided they did not want to meet their financial commitments to me, and the same month the greedy propane companies chose to feign a shortage and double their prices. To say that it it sucked @$$ is like calling magma warm.... But they both went to good homes with friends from the group here, so it could have been worse.

I spy my padre in the third pic up from the bottom

Yep, your Padre, Lisa's old blue Box Elder Hiking Buddy, and Sergio's Black Palm Hiking Buddy are all in that pic :)

That does suck big time. I guess you were lucky you at least had your Fiddlebacks to fall back on then.

Love the additional photo's by the way
