I love making knives for you all. Thanks to everyone for supporting Fiddleback Forge. Its an amazing feeling to do this for a living. Fiddleback Forge depends on yall, and we hope you love the tool you buy from us.
What a week. I hate these mid week snowstorms. If only the bad weather would just be happy ruining our weekends. The double stick in the craw is that I worked, and missed out on all the snow fun with Hannah and Lily. I think that was a biggest stress of the storm for me. Were going to play softball all weekend to make up for it. Hannah is trying out for a travel team this weekend. Woot.
Even with the weather resisting us, we made 17 knives to show to you today. Ken, I am happy to say is very good at doing bolstered scales, so youre going to see a lot more of them. Hes better at cutting the wood just perfectly flat and square too, so there will be a lot of bolstered wood scales. Sweet! Some things to watch for is the 3/32 thick steel blades this week! Thats rare. And there is a Small Gaucho knife and a Toothpik. Some of the rarest Fiddlebacks! I hope you like them.
The steel this week is 3D Spalted 01 steel and CPM 154 with Fiddleback Textured Flats.
Please note that the SS is a big thicker than the measurement I order because most folks surface grind to size. So this means 1/8 thick blades are really ~0.140 thick.
Payment may be made to Paypal, or by personal check or MO. I hold all personal checks until they have cleared. This usually doesnt cause a delay because they usually clear before shipping day.
Attention!!! The paypal address is: fiddlebackpayments at att dot net. Please describe your purchase in the payment notes.
Shipping is included within the US. Ken has taken over the shipping department and we are going to be setting up a special e-mail address for all questions or concerns regarding shipping. Ill give that out when the new website is launced.
