Very cool!! And might I say that there were some FLIPPIN GREAT choices made for liners in this batch :thumbsup:

When new models are introduced, all 3 specs of OAL, Blade Length and Handle Length would really help. Soooo, can we get those for the 3 models introduced today? (And for upcoming new models, feel free to add those to the New Models thread)

Trying to discern their size and how they might feel in-hand, I referenced my spreadsheet:
  • My Hiking Buddies come in with averages of 7.3" OAL 4.1" Handle and 3.2" Blade and the Handyman comes in around 7.625" OAL 4.3" Handle and 3.25" Blade. That puts the Warthawg in the middle there or close to the Hiking Buddy with an OAL 7.375".
  • The CR-1 is going to be in the OAL ballpark of the Asp and KEB.
  • The Snowbill OAL is going to be a bit longer than the Sylvrfalcen and more around the OAL of a Big Palmer, Lil Lady and Lonestar.

I'm going to suggest that some comparison pics next to typical models (earlier in the day vs right before go-time) will help give folks insight and more time to think on purchases this evening. Just a thought.

Since I first saw the Snowbill, I wondered how this would work in practice in a sheath given where that handle flare is at. Looking at the top view of the handles, there isn't always a flare at the end to get a purchase on it to pull out of the sheath, especially if it was fully covered by the sheath. That would make this a good lanyard candidate so you'd have something to pull on. If the top of the sheath is right at the large handle flare, I'm not sure if retention would be a concern or not. Same thing if the top of the sheath were below the flare. VANCE VANCE I know its a new model but have any of you carried the Snowbill yet and how has that worked?

All new models are up on the model info page on the site https://fiddlebackforge.com/collections/fiddleback-forge-model-example-database

CR-1 - 3.75" Blade 8" OAL
Snowbill - 3.125" Blade 7" OAL
Warthawg - 3.25" Blade 7.375" OAL

We are trying to see if the sheaths we already have will work for these new ones also. Jason is on vacay so if the ones we already have won't work he will have to draft something up when he gets back. We will try to post comparison pics today also.

***side note***
taking a pic with a phone using one hand if clumsy at best

Sorry, just punchy today but in recollection that you had smaller hands, it brought to mind this clip from Master of Disguise. (nothing implied here Phil! Just sharing the voices in my head) hahahaa
