As always, my first priority is to thank all of you. Fiddleback Forge depends on y’all, and we hope you love the tool you buy from us.
I am very excited about Fiddleback Friday this week. Everything just ran smoothly this week. No chasing at all. There are new models to show off too. And to top it all off, Dylan and I are hosting the GA Knifemakers Guild quarterly meeting at our shop tomorrow. Today is the informal social, and so we are primed to have fun.
Thank you all for the support. My family depends on y’all, but that’s not all. The jobs created at Fiddleback Forge are supported by your interest in our products. We are all very grateful for your patronage.
The prices this week are without sheaths. I am lucky enough to work with both Heber Ellsworth and Rick Lowe. Both make fantastic sheaths that are completely different from one another. I appreciate your support for them as well.
The steel this week is 3D Spalted 01 and CPM 154cm.
Payment may be made to Paypal, or by personal check or MO. I hold all personal checks until they have cleared. This usually doesn’t cause a delay because they usually clear before shipping day.
Attention!!! The paypal address is: fiddlebackpayments at att dot net. Please describe your purchase in the payment notes.
Shipping is included within the US. We do all our shipping on Thursdays.
New model, The Woodchuck!!! - I'm so excited about this knife. I want to keep both of the convex ones real bad. Fun knife to make and grind, and just screams for Rick Lowe leatherwork to really set it off. I think this knife is going to excel at Bushcrafting. There is enough of a point to do most jobs like drilling. The edge is forward of the grip enough to allow for kitchen duty and is elliptical shaped, so its going to be great for slicing. It will also excel at game prep due to the sheepsfoot style point. The handle is 4.75" long and the blade is 4.5". I made three this week. (Actually 4, but I lost one.) Two are convex saberground and feature 5/32" thick 3D Spalted 01 steel with tapered tangs. One knife is wearing stabilized and dyed Black Palm, and the other one has Waterfall Bubinga. The Scandi knife has a skeletonized tang 1/8" thick, and is wearing Stabilized Black Ash Burl.
This week I have broken the rest of the knives up by steel type. This is because I did a bunch of CPM 154CM this week. I’m going to start with the 01 though. This first pic is the available 3D Spalted 01 knives for this week.
