Well its Friday again. FYI. We got ice coming (actual ice not ICE) to the south this weekend. It shuts Atlanta down usually. We just don't know how to drive on it. So I may be off Monday and ship on Tuesday this week. This was a good week. Carley gave her brother Jake (our new profiler) a knifemaking class this week. It was neato to watch them work together. I'm lucky to have Carley helping out at the shop y'all. She really is a savant. I'm stacking up knives right now. The building is supposed to go up in Feb, and I'd like to be there for the construction. I keep having this dream they install it 180 degrees wrong. I also want to use spray foam insulation, so I want to prevent them from accidentally adding that sheet plastic stuff to the roof.
Pretty knives this week. There is a cool looking swedged Pocket Ninja. I put some Sycamore on an Acadiana Cheese Knife that is exquisite. A vintage linen handled Hiking Buddy Jr, and a Bullfrog Bowie.
Here are the details:
1. Pocket Ninja - 3/32" thick Nitro V steel with a tapered tang, Black Widow micarta on black micarta liners with red g10 pinstripes.
2. Acadiana Cheese Knife - 3/32" thick Nitro V steel with a tapered tang, unbelievable figured green dyed Sycamore on black micarta liners with yellow g10 pinstripes.
3. Hiking Buddy Junior - 3/32" thick A2 steel with a tapered tang, really pretty vintage linen micarta on natural micarta liners with yellow g10 pinstripes.
4. Bullfrog Bowie - 1/8" thick A2 steel with a tapered tang, Ruby Red burlap micarta from Shadetree on black micarta liners.
