Can someone post some Fiddleback comparison photos for me please. Im hoping some of the sharks around here will have one of every type of Fiddlebacks to do a side by side photo of them to judge by (no need for a spine shot). It would really help me out with some of the size of some Fiddlebacks I'm looking to try out. I would like to see the size comparisons of every thing from a Bear Cub down to a Runt. The Bear Cub is about the biggest Id like to go as Im more into the smaller Fiddleback knives. I do do have a Hiking Buddy so I can judge the size from that. Thanks for the help Chuck.

It's been a while since I've done a comparison thread. It's probably time since there are a few that would fit in your size requirements of a Bear Cub or smaller. I'll try to put one together in the near future.

Not to get off track, but does anyone know what happened to Mark (MAW)?

Thanks for linking those comparison photo threads, they are really helpful. Being able to compare across several models gives a different perspective from analyzing one or two models in detail. I guess it lets you see the big picture, bad pun intended.

Every time I go back and look through those threads, it always reminds me how much I wish we'd still see the occasional black over blue/black or lime/black. I realize it's not the "style" anymore, but it's very utilitarian and something I find quite appealing for a hard use pack or truck knife. I'd love to have a scandi BC Jr or a Patch like that... or even a Padre... ;)

My interest is also in the mid-range, about Bear Cub length. When I get time, I'll post some comparison photos of BC Jr., Monarch, Toboggan, Runt, BC Karda, and Lil Ness. I'm also familiar with Bear Cub, HB, and Bushraptor, but don't own those models anymore.

Crazy fingers -- Sorry it's taken so long for me to post some photos of knives in the Bear Cub range. Camera problems, but I did find some photos with at least some models in that size range shown side-by-side.

Top photo: The three above the Runt are in the range you asked about: Toboggan, Monarch, and Bushcraft Jr.

Bottom photo shows effective handle length by lining three knives up according to notch for index finger: Toboggan, BC Jr., and Bushraptor (has same handle as Hiking Buddy.)
