So, I'm sitting at the supper table this evening, and my 6 year old daughter proceeds to tell me that she's made me a sheath for my 'green knife' (aka Runt)!

So after thanking her and giving her a kiss for being sweet, I explained to her the importance of sheath materials for fixed blade knives. A quick demonstration of what happens when a pressure is put on a blade in paper (using a different piece of paper, not her sheath) and she said, "ohhhh!" We decided we need to get ourselves some leather sheath making supplies for those fixed blade knives :)

So I told her that the little sheath could be used for my Spydeco Manbug that she had given me as a present back on my birthday.

So, again I say, Fiddleback Leather Benders -- Beware!!! Cause my little girl wants to make some sheaths for Fiddlebacks!

I love my kids!

Looks like a family heirloom to me!

Is she taking orders yet? I want to get mine in while she is still taking customs.

Very cool! I recently was going thru some things that were my dads and found a little film container that had a small note wrapped inside. I opened it up and there was a fly that i had tied when I was 7 and the note with the date and description of when I did it. Pretty cool to go down memory lane! Save it for the days of tomorrow!

Daddy's girls are great! Mine's not quite there yet but I'm working on it. That's a treasure for sure.

Yep, those are those moments you never forget. Very nice nice man, thanks for sharing!

Your daughter is a very thoughtful girl Luke. She must have a thoughtful daddy who is raising her right. I love her "stitching" work and the "maker's mark." That is a family keepsake for sure.

:thumbup:Congrats you have a great daughter! Mine just makes me little drawings, but I love them. :)

Absolutely fantastic thread! Both my daughters are grown but I will never forget those moments. I still have a lot of their little creations. Good stuff!
