I’m a little bummed. Researching Fiddleback knives and discovered Fiddleback Outpost has taken down all their content. Definitely don’t want to the stir the pot if it was an unhappy ending but there was a lot of knife history there.

There are some "sharpest tool in the shed" videos on FF website. Don't know if that's the ones you're looking for.

Negative - those have been taken down also. Unless I have some weird setting that won’t let me view them.

Ahh. You are correct. I see the heading but when I click it says no longer available. Oh well. There was some funny content on those.

I will respond to this tomorrow morning when I have a keyboard. Thank you for noticing. Thank you for posting.

The videos that are/were on the website are not functioning because Robert Gilbert has made his youtube channel private. As you all know Robert was in charge of my website for several years. He was also under the Outpost brand a dealer for my knives. A few months ago I was floundering financially and did a bit of research into where my revenue was going. Too much of it was going to marketing, Robert, IMO. He was unwilling to re-negotiate a lower rate, so I felt I had to let him go. Thats when I took over the shipping, the FF posts, etc. The split was handled professionally from both ends I thought. Then a few months later, he cut the videos off without warning.

Now, I believe that the videos are paid for marketing and I should still have rights to them. I do not know Robert's position because he has ghosted me, but he obviously disagrees.

In the same timeframe Rick Lowe of RLO Custom Leather also let Robert go. You'll have to get the details of this from Rick, but the slings on Roberts site are no longer made by Rick. I have no idea who makes them, but they sure look like Rick's stuff.

Seems like those videos would be considered your physical property since you were paying for marketing. Sounds like a lawyer issue with costs. You and I learned a lesson about dealing with Robert Gilbert.

Unfortunate situation! Apologies if it brought up bad vibes. Thank you for the transparency. I hope it gets resolved. Like I said, a lot of great knife history.

This thread made me realize it had been years since I talked to, or even thought of, Mr. Gilbert. I have to admit, I haven't missed him any.
