I am just wondering if anyone here would have any interest if Andy made a puuko. I think they are a good and useful design, but of course, the bottom line generally dictates whether a knife will be made or not. So what does everyone say, yes or no???

And Andy, if (when) you read this, I would be interested to know your thoughts on the Puuko and if you have ever considered making one. And if you don't like them, no worries because you won't hurt my feelings. Just tell it like it is. :)

Although I tend to prefer a knife with more balanced proportions than a puuko, they do intrigue me and I've often come close to ordering one. A Fiddleback version, with Talfuchre dangler/puuko style leather would be pretty darn cool...

I think I'd really like to see Andy's VERSION of a puuko. Just like I really dig his Nessmuk. Bark River supposedly is coming out with a traditional 'Scandi' in a puuko like design. I'm really interested to see theirs.

The Hiking Buddy is my version of a Puukko. I think every knifemaker should start out with a simple small design. I always make new apprentices start with the Puukko.

See now, I knew there was a reason I liked that blade so much! I learn something new every day.
