Way back in April I purchased my first Fiddleback and had it shipped to my brother in the US. While he took his sweet old time sending it to me I ended up trading it in May to Hasco for a Bushfinger! He quickly shipped out the Bushfinger and my brother shipped out the Scandi Karda to Hasco. I sent my brother $$ to cover shipping to Hasco and shipping to me here in the DEEP south! Well, I'm happy to say that almost 9 months later (and 7 other Fiddlebacks in its wake) my Bushfinger and I were united today when the PO gave me a call and said I had a package!!!!! It's awesome! I can see why everybody oohs and ahhs over the Bushfinger model. It's just right . . . not too big, not too small, it just feels and looks right! Thank you Hasco and thank you Andy for this awesome blade!

Some quick iPhone pics with great lighting . . . this knife didn't need any post processing!

That's a nice one for sure.

Wahoo!!!!

I'm so glad it finally made it to you safely! That is a pretty one... I don't know what I was thinking ;)

I hope you get many hours of great use out of it! The comfortable handle and guard less blade make it a great tool in camp or the kitchen.

Enjoy,

Tod

Congrats dude, that's a beauty of a bushfinger; use it well and in good health!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how I'd like the yellow pinstripes with this combo, but now that I have it person, I love it! I can see the draw to this model.

Hey Tod, I'm pumped it finally made it here too! I can't believe it took me this long to get it, but I'm happy it's safely home :)

Thanks! I was SO tempted to pick up that BC from the market and then you scooped it up and then resold it.

I'll take it!

Can't I have it for at least a little bit ;)

Man, this forum sooo needs a like button! Sweet Bushfinger!

Thanks Brian! I was trying my best to capture it's beauty with the iPhone. Just happened to have some great natural light at the time.

Really dig the natural pins against the blue burlap. Very nice.

I wasn't sure what I really thought about the natural against the blue burlap from the pics, but in hand . . . it's nice! I added one more pic and it's a decent shot of the front pins against the Sapphire!

Congrats, that's a good looking Bushfinger.

I have seen the scandi Bushfingers and Kepharts lately and I just didn't get the desire to have one that 'Big' . . . now that I have one, I get it! They aren't too big. Has me wanting to see if I can find somebody interested in trading a Scandi EDKarda for a Scandi Kephart! I've been wanting a Kephart model for some time now.

Well, much to my good pleasure, I had a package waiting for me today at the PO!! Last Sep/Oct I purcahased a beautiful tapered tang Esquire . . .

It took a long 8 weeks to make its way down to me. I opened the package and to my horror, somebody had opened the box, stole my Esquire and the Fiddleback business card, and they were kind enough to wrap a piece of brick up in the Kraft paper to make up for the missing weight of the knife. Well, Andy and his awesomeness decided to remake my Esquire. This time we sent it and my Hiking Buddy I bought in January to a friend in the US. That friend covertly put my knives in a box with a bunch of other goodies and it arrived today!! Thank you Andy for this Esquire! That is awesome customer service right there!! We'll have to hear from Ken to find out what type of wood this is, because I have no idea :D

This is my first tapered tang knife, and I think it's 5/32 which makes it a first too :)

Sweet Esquire .. and if I was to guess, the wood is Red Malle Burl.

The Bushfinger is a purty one. I like the sapphire burlap the more i see it.

The Esquire story has a nice ending. I can't imagine how heartbreaking it would be to see a brick instead of a Fiddleback. I'm not completely sure but i think the scales are called Cajun Awesomesauce. Andy is just too cool :)

I'm very particular about what materials and color combinations I like. That cominbation is one that I've never seen before, but it definitely has my attention! What a beautiful piece!

I am glad that esquire made it safely!! Hats off to Andy for making a new one. What great guy. That one is a beauty for sure. Great hiking buddy too!

Great ending to your misfortune. The Fiddleback CS is hands down the best.

Love that Bushfinger and the new knives make quite a pair. The Bushfinger really is perfection in many ways. Adding a Kephart only will make your carry/use deliberations that much harder!

Cool! I'm glad to see this one made it!

I do really like this Esquire. My Runt is getting a little jealous ;)
I am a fan of the burl, I'm still waiting on shop confirmation as far as what it is. But Red Maple seems like a good guess.

Don't stare at the scales too long, you might start hallucinating. Looks great.

The scales definetly have a mesmerizing effect :)

I was sick to my stomach when I opened the box and unwrapped the brick. That's almost crueler then just stealing the box and me never receiving it. The brick was like adding insult to injury. So yes, I was thrilled when my last box just came and my knives were actually there.

Andy and Ken definetly have a great eye for picking some beautiful wood to use on the knives.

Andy really is a great guy. I really can't explain how much this means to me. It wasn't his fault some loser decided to steal my knife, but he made me another one anyways. That speaks volumes to me. I really like the Hiking Buddy! It's the model that originally called my attention to FF and it certainly has lived up to its reputation. What a great little knife.

So far I haven't taken the dive for the Kephart yet. I really like the look, but I just struggle getting a different knife the same size as my Bushfinger.

Cool! I'm glad to see this one made it!

Thank you Andy. I was really worried about this box too. My friend had the Esquire, Hiking Buddy, and Machete all strewn throughout the box along with other goodies. The box was beat up and had a couple big tears in the sides. I really thought it had happened again. I pulled the first kraft paper roll out and there was no knife! My heart sunk . . . but then I carefully dug around and found the Hiking Buddy there. It had wore through the bottom of the paper. Then next I found the Esquire and it was completely in tact, and lastely the machete tucked between other items. They all made it safe and sound!
