Trying to develop a field grade knife, here is my latest attempt.
Stacked 80 durometer rubber handle with G10 guard and pommel.
5160 edge quenched blade
Handle is Very grippy and gets better when wet. Does not transfer impact shock hardly at all.

Sweet! I never would have thought to do a stacked rubber handle...I bet it feels like it's welded to your hand during use! -Matt-

Yeah, that's a darn cool idea for the handle. What kind of adhesive did you use to hold it together?

Found a local supplier of Epoxy that works really well with rubber. It will tear the material apart before the joint come loose, but still has enough flex for the rubber.
That was my biggest concern but after testing quite a few bonding agents this worked the best.
Here is one that is headed to the grinder today.

What type of epoxy did you use? Where might I find some? Thanks!

Super nice work!

I really like how you used G10 for the guard and the pommel.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you attach the tang to the G10 pommel?
