Field-Master.jpg Greetings All:

I haven't made one of these in awhile and thought I'd post. This Field Master design is a brute - sized for Elk/Moose/Bear 9 1/4" OAL, 4 1/2" BL, .200" Ricasso, hollow ground, stabilized Koa.

Hamons are tough on these big, hollow ground blades - if you grind the blade thin to save your hamon, the blade warps when you heat treat it. If you leave it too thick prior to heat treat, you grind away the ashi and the hamon creeps up towards the spine. Flat ground blades are more forgiving.

Be well,

TK

Gorgeous knife and sheath Tim, 4 1/2" blade very good all around size for everything, great looking photo also.

Jack: One of your favorites rather than your all time favorite? I'm crushed buddy. How 'bout those Patriots?! :D
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think you moved up there just so they would officially be your team.
