I just got a Field Pup the other day and I have to say it is a great little knife for the price. It is light, came shaving sharp and has a good feel in the hand. I do think the thumb ramp serrations are a little sharp though.

The only complaint is the sheath. Which was a huge disappointment. The second time I put it in the blade cut through the leather. The kydex on the sheath doesn't really do much except serve as a medium to hold the sheath together. While the overall design and shape is all right, the execution is poor.

Send me a PM with your mailing address an I'll get you out a new sheath. Actually we have a new nylon sheath available. Check out the images below. Let me know what you prefer and I'll get it out to you this week.

Aww, that's unhappy.

Mine has been slashed quite a few times - I hadn't used it much but every few draws means you cut into the leather unless you are really careful :(

Chris, have you thought about making the sheaths like this one? IMHO the clip is more versatile than belt loop and the sheath itself can be shorter.
