Field Pup Sheath Modification

I just wanted to share a small tip that I applied to my only Sog - the Field Pup. I was always worried about the looseness of the sheath after using it for yard work and the likes. Being paranoid, I wanted a secondary retaining strap. Well, I figured out a decent FREE one that looks pretty good. Using a drawstring from those little baggies the new Benchmades come in, I fashioned a nice little rig:

I remember a post a long time ago about this and thought this might give someone an idea for this or another knife.

Probably my second or third thread was about the Field Pup's sheath; I was eyeing it and the lack of a retaining strap concerned me. It's nice to see a solution that's effective without costing as much as the knife itself. :thumbup:

Great Idea !!

A year or so ago I added a 2nd leather handle strap to all of my SOG fixed-blade sheaths. It was raining, I needed something to do..... you know how it goes.

Mine are certainly effective, but not as clean-looking, elegantly simple, and reversible as your design method. Well Done !!
