WOW. <-- short version

Below is longer version:

I acquired this knife recently and boy I do not regret it. I was lucky enough to have 3 "subjects" to field dress this week-end. No sharpening between subjects.

Subject number one was just amazing. I had never handled a top quality blade until now and boy does it make a difference. It felt like the blade was just "gliding" through whatever I was cutting.

Subject number 2 was not as impressive as the first one but was still a very sharp knife and easily dressed the deer.

Subject number 3 was done so fast, it was incredible. It would have taken me much longer with a "not so sharp" blade.

All in all I think this blade is beyond excellent. Although not as scary sharp after the first field dressing, it's still very very sharp. After 3 deer it still "bites" down into the nail and I wouldn't be afraid to dress another 3 deer before sharpening it, but I have time to give her a quick refresh before this week-end. Other knives I've had required sharpening after every field dressing... definitively not the case for this one.

As far as handling goes, it's really incredible. It handles like a dream and it really fits my hand well in all sorts of situations.

I am very impressed with this knife.

I had to put in back in the sheath in this condition... 3 times... The cold weather made everything stick to it.

Now the knife is all clean but the sheath is full of deer fat/blood/hair/you-name-it. Anyone have good tips for cleaning a sheath? I have no idea how I'm going to get the crap out...

My 3 subjects:

BTW: I'm the clean guy in the middle with my spike.:D Yummy :D

update: subject number 4 cooperated very well too... I just wish he was shot closer to a road... LOL

rosarms knives are outstanding value for money. They are sharp, nicely made and are somewhat different from what the most known names in the cutlery offer.
