This is posted by me in order to keep a Bando practitioner from breaking the rules.

We were
out chopping up dead trees. He brought along his "Indian Army" training
khukuri and I my 18" Ang Khola. I also carried my Mission MPK on my belt.

After watching him chop for a while with his khukuri I handed my 18" Ang Khola
and I wondered off to test my MPK. When I retuned he was still chopping with
the Ang Khola and had cleared away some of the dead trees. I took over with
the Ang Khola and sent him off with the MPK. About 5 minutes latter he was
back looking for the Ang Khola.

His comments were that it was light night and day to go from the Indian Army
khukuri to the 18" Ang Khola. He was very impressed as was I.

Advertizing of Bando practices in public places like the internet is not well looked upon as the founder wants to keep the art more personal. The khukuri is integral to Bando so it is obviously hard to draw the line. Most will just play it safe and not post. They will however chat with you in email with no problems, and of course talk openly in person.

Cornbread ain't s'possed ta be sweet!....Dagnabit gurl, whut did they teach you way up north in ....;) hehehe.

If it is one of their rules, I think I can simply accept it without further comments.

My peer told me, "If everybody is interpreting every ruling and practicing it according to his own personal interpretation, then at certain time or certain place it will end up with fatality!"

What youngsters said about RULES? Rules created to be broken ... !

The more I hear about this Bando dicipline the more intrigued I am. Do you know of anyone in the Eastern part of PA who practices this art? (particularly the Reading area) I would like to find out more about this.

Mike
