One more to go after this one!
This is a stabilized piece of super curly Maple latched onto a hot-blued and laddered 1095/15N20 blade with stainless steel take-down fittings.
Ready to rumble!

That's awesome Karl! Great loking lnife!
Question: Did the blade have a hamon before you blued it? I have had that happen with 1095 damascus.

Adam, this picture "communicates" that knife sub-par. The activity in the blade is either induced ladder from the hammer and press or the slight laddering I did to the bar pre-knife-shaping.
No hamon to speak of.

Karl great knife looking forward to seeing it in Atlanta and to talk about Bowhunting

I have a Schafer Silvertip due hopefully right before Blade.

Very Nice Karl, that one shouldn't last long once the doors open. See you in a couple days.

Bill
