Im getting to like making these big knives now :) This one is a new design from me with a blade length of 185mm and overall it's 330mm.

Made from 4mm O1 with a full flat grind, distal taper and hand rubbed finish. the handle is stabilized beech over black liners with stainless fittings.

I also need a name for this so any ideas welcome.

This should help you get an idea on size

Thanks for looking.

Very nice! Handle and guard kinda looks like a silhouette of a hawk, eagle, falcon, raptor, etc.

Looks simple. No frills. I like it.

Maybe call it "Essential" or "Basic".

"Viper", "one-eyed Viper", "Defender", " Compaion", "Warrior"

The end of the handle with the thong hole looks a viper's head, especially int the first two photos posted!

No name suggestions, but I will say that I love that handle --- both shape and materials. It looks like it would feel awesome in hand...

Don't forget that in the UK a knife mustn't have a name that sounds at all aggressive. Anything like "warrior" or "defender" is definitly a no-no. As we know, knives with bad names are deadly and hurt people. Nice name knives are friendly:rolleyes: I've also been warned not to use the word fighter.
Even "Gun Mart" magazine calls the knife section "field cutlery"!
Call it a "multi purpose field tool" thats nice and sensible!!

That wood and handle shape look great. It is interesting that you think size in metric and I have to do a conversion to understand size.

All the names that come to mind would not be politically correct for your region!

Nice knife though,
Peter

Used Fighter in thread title at an "across the pond" knife forum.
Luckily, a mod edited it after I posted. :D

Nice fighter.
How about Prosecutor for the name ?

Doug

"SLEEPER"
That is one fine fighter, Maybe next one would have a taper tang and some g-10 (black) ;)

great looking design there. The handle colors really jump out. Looks lean and mean.

How about Wind In the Willows . It is not scary sounding but the knife looks fast and the wavy grain in the handle made that name just come to me

as for naming the design, I've always liked model numbers. No need to insert any cheezy literal meanings imo, the knife describes itself.

It looks like a kitchen knife blade with a gents bowie handle. "Kitchen Defender"
Coat it all black and call it "Night Stalker"
