This has sort of a Strider influence, no claim to anything close to what they are making. This is just one I enjoyed making.

Nice Robert, I can see the Strider influence in the handle. Gotta love that 01 tool steel. That will be one tough knife!

Keep up the good work:)

Your execution of the design looks superb. The grinds and fit all appear to be top notch - a sure sign of quality. I like the blade too, but frankly, I have to be just a bit critical of the handle. It seems to lack contour.

As I mentioned - execution of the design really does look excellent, but it's the design itself that, in my humble and unqualified opinion, could benefit from just a little tweaking, if you will. Now, I can imagine why the Strider guys make their production knives like this - it's probably much easier and faster to profile and fit straight lines than curves, allowing for more efficient production of high quality and effective cutting tools - but if you're going to take the time to build a nice, sole-authored, handmade custom, why not also take the time to profile a more comfortable and better fitting handle?

Again, please don't take me too seriously here. I really do like the knife. I guess I was just hoping to see another one of your excellent fighter-bowies and thought I might convey how I'd like this one better with only some slight modifications to the design...

Wulf,
I appreciate your honesty. It's very difficult to get people to give opinions on your work. Everybody is gun shy, afraid to say what they really think because of possibly offending the maker or getting slammed by other Forumites.

I think that is unfortunite because it leaves makers with a false reading on their work. Especially the newer guys. I always take mine to my chiropractor he slams everything he doesn't like, but also praises the good points.

Honest opinions are helpfull to a maker if they are done right!

By the way I agree the handle is kinda plain but it is meant to be versatile.
Watch for a new fighter design coming in a week or so.
