I've tried one double grind before and it never made it to heat treat. These are my second and third attempts. The big one is on a 14" wheel the smaller one on an 8" wheel. These are just the rough grinds, they are at Paul Bos's as we speak. The bigger knife's tang looks funny, I ground the blade before I ground the stick of the stick tang. It's got shoulders now. When they come back I'll update this as I go along on these two knives. I'm having a hard time deciding on what to do to the big knife. Sub hilt and mammoth on a frame, guard and walrus tusk, sub hilt and wood, I dunno can't decide. Suggestions from you the buyers and collectors?! The second knife is a customer order and he's got it planned out, it will have a tapered tang. I've got the second knife looking better as well. It wasn't completely profiled out before the pictures. I'll take better pictures for the updates too, these are horrible.
