3.5 hours of work into this one so far. Still need to make the front and back bolsters as well as set the scales. I am somewhere between Rams horn and ebony. This is going to be a good one. I am going to start to stamp all the knives with type of metal used its getting hard to keep track. Or as Susan would say why don't you just use one type of steel for all your knives? Has a lot of merit just not that easy to do. SO here are some pictures. Over all length is about 10.25 inches.

Comments always welcome. More photos as it progresses. Thanks for looking, Ken

Few more pictures 1st is out of the furnace, hardened and tempered to a Rockwell 60 the second is after being re-polished and the last has the bolsters and pommel rough peened in place. Tomorrow clean up the bolsters and pommel and more polishing. Then set the scales. Now I am thinking Bocote. Total time spent so far ....about 7 hours. Tape on the blade . It is not as sharp as It will be but it's still plenty sharp enough to cut.

OK its finished 10 1/8th inches long. Blade in front of the bolsters is 5.1/8th inches I wound up using Wenge for the scales I wanted dark with contrast. Extra nice file work, Mirror finish and razor sharp. All stainless of one type or another . Central blade is ATS-34 hardened and tempered to a Rockwell of 60. Super comfortable in the hand. Going up for sale in the custom fixed blade section tomorow. Let me know what you think. Ken

Comment s please.

Oh man! That looks amazing! Great work! I'm reeeally digging the file work on top, it looks killer (no pun intended). How long has it taken you to get that far?

There is about 14 hours of work into it. It will go up for sale in the morning some time.
