Made from a old car leaf spring.
3/16" thick
8 1/4" blade
14 1/4" overall
Convex grind (hand filed)
Jabrock scales
Aluminium pins and tube.
I don`t have access to a heat treating oven so this one has been edge quenched in oil using a oxy torch.
A lot of first`s for me on this one .
First try at file work.
First Fighter.
First use of a tube .
+ - Comments welcome
I am calling this one the snake Fighter because of the file work.
Thank you for looking

This is the kind of knife I would mortgage my house for.....absolutely stunning....great shape, handle, file work. Breathtaking.

Fantastic knife mate. Is the leaf spring soft enough to work? Also how do you do the heat treat with a torch (sorry novice here).

hi,It is soft enough to work straight up but I heated it up to get it flat so that makes it soft .
To get it hard again its heated up with the torch to a dull red then quenched in oil that has been warmed up a little, hope this helps.

For all the nice replies,I have a guy at work nagging me to sell it to him but I have no idea how much to charge him for it ,so I told him to wait untill I have finished sewing the sheath before we talk price.

Damn, you have calloused hands.

Hard working hands :) Its winter here plus when you are doing a lot of grinding your hands are in and out of water quite a lot.

I am quite suprised that no one made a comment on the point of balance for this knife.
I took the picture with the knife resting on a screw head to see if anyone would notice.
