Overall length is 14.5" . The blade is 1095 9. 1/2" X 1. 5/8" X 1/4" thick.
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018. The scales are Curly Maple.
Thanks for looking,
Mike

Very nice! Are you the maker?
If so, do you ever do any large bowies with a full flat grind? -just wondering.

most makers have fantastic knives, and i don't comment on them for the most part, even though that doesn't mean i don't appreciate their work. this one, i can't hold back, sweet knife....

Thank you for the kind words.
Yes I am the maker and I have made large "full" flat grind bowies.
I tend to stay away from full grinds (spine to edge). I like a defined line
where the primory bevel begins. I think it adds to the overall look of the
blade and the resulting weight balances the knife out when using steel for
guard, bolsters, and pommel. I think it also results in a much stronger
"tool"when the time comes to depend on it. This is just my opinion (everyone
has one). I only make knives that appeal to me. I plan to keep each, right up
till I start on the next. In this way it stays fun for me.
When I stop enjoying it, I'll stop making them.
Mike
