I've always been a fan of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife and of William E Fairbairn himself. He's the model of a real man... A gentleman and warrior. If you want to be completely awed by someone, read up on him.
Anyways... I was inspired by one of Joe Keesler's daggers and I had to try one myself. So I took what I liked from the two experts and their designs and put them together into one.
And this is what was born...

The blade is bead blasted and etched 1095
The handle is black G10 with a tapered tang and vine filework
Overall length is 11 1/4"
Blade length is 5 1/2"
Thickness is 3/8 at the ricasso
I was extremely pleased with how this blade turned out. The balance is perfect, the edge is razor sharp, and everytime I pick it up I just want to stab something...
I guess the moral of the story is if you want to make an awesome knife, learn from awesome makers.
All questions, comments, and critiques welcome.
Thanks!
