This past weekend I email Yangdu to see if she had any knives in stock made with antler, I had a craving for something in antler, something unique.

She replies that she does indeed have something one particular item that has been sitting on the shealf colllecting dust.

I say " Can you send me a picture please?" and of course she does.

I took one look at it and knew I wanted it.
It was originally offered in the DOTD back in January 2007 .

Sure is an amazing blade.:thumbup:

But it makes me wonder what else is gathering dust in the HI shack just waiting for someone to ask "I was wondering if you may have ...ABCXYZ in stock?":confused:;)
 
Never hurts to ask. As Uncle Bill used to say, "I have this special ABCXYZ..." :D

Wow, something that unique, I'm shocked no one picked it up for the novelty alone.

Here's an idea:
Yangdu, how about a "dust" sale? Show us what you've got that's just been sitting around collecting dust. I have a feeling that there's other things in that shed that I'd never even thought of asking for like that knife above. Maybe have Ted do the clearance while you're away?

It's a little bigger than usual, but that is the HI crysknife.

Cool knife! Life is like a shed full of khukuris. You never know what you're going to get!
 
Thanks for all the good words, this one was a great surprise, you never know what you may find on the those shelves at Yangdu's, I've found a few nice pieces.

I especially like the straight taper of the Elk antler down to a nice skull cracker tip for those bigger fish, the sturgeon don't stand a chance.

Thanks again, now I have to cut some paper to shreds with my HI Crysknife !!
