I picked this up for $5 at a swap meet.
It's a Fighter Plus fighting slipjoint. The specs are as follows:
Weight: unknown
Blade thickness: a bit under 3mm
Blade length: 4 inches
Cutting edge: 3.5 inches
Overall length: 8-5/8 inches.
It came with a leather pouch and was supposed to come with a mini honing steel, judging from a little loop in the pouch for holding such an implement. It is patterned after the Laguiole knife, and includes the famous bumblebee.
As for "walk and talk", the "walk" is relatively smooth after flushing with water and applying teflon-based lubricant. There is no "talk" to speak of (at all). The backspring is very weak and does not make any click whatsoever when opening the knife. In fact, with the blade open, a flick of the wrist will sent the blade back towards the closed position (and one's fingers). I assume this keeps the end-user from drawing attention to themselves when they open their knife during combat usage.
It is rather large for a slipjoint.
The blade has a shape and swedge that reminds me strongly of the Spyderco Police.
Fit and finish was (by far) the best of the group of identical knives I saw.
What's with that backspring? It sinks into the knife and there's a big black gap on one side of it....
The guy machining the grooves obviously messed up here.
As you can see, it appears handmade. Look at the very end of the spacer - someone cut into it by accident.
Demonstrating combat use of "Fighter Plus".
Blade centering is fabulous!
More examples of Pakistani mastery.
