I just bought a Fusion Battle Mistress and it is a beast. I am used to smaller knives that have more of an acute edge. Any recommendations for my next knife geared towards those parameters? I am thinking of a Ratmandu with a different edge. Thanks

Ron

Urban Grudge or Public defender fit the Fighting knife parameters I have been taught. with a slight advantage to the PD, if it had a back cut edge man that would be something cool.
Made of Elmax woo hoo, hint hint ;)

The options are many but yeah, the Grudge is there. Someone had a sweet BG deal the other day on the X. Sure it's gone now though.

I carry a Sus as my fixed blade EDC with my pistol, but my concept of blade use in a “fight” scenario is as either: a last resort because I can’t get to my sidearm or to create space for me to engage my sidearm.

The thing about knife fighting, people get cut, and don’t know about you, but I’d rather throw some lead than get stitches. Not to say I haven’t done bladed combatives training in the military on occasion, but if I’m down to a blade S has hitteth the fan and things are gonna get ugly

Urban Grudge..Public Defender...HG55....Jackhammer....Satin Jack Tactical....Dog Soldier....BeefManDu...so many this is just the tip of great choices;)

Argonne Assault Light Brigade!

Edit: No no no... American Regulator!

Edit: Jackhammer!

Edit: Or more practical, I think a CABS would be great... the Park Ranger allows for a wicked reverse grip, also...

Another shout out for the Silent Knight. A 10 inch blade at 1lbs is lighting quick in the hand. Will need to rework the edge to make it useful for anything other than cutting brick though.

Another vote for the Public Defender. Whenever I “tactically practice” (playing ninja when nobody is home), it always blows me away. The knife is so well balanced and light that I almost forget that it’s in my hand after a few seconds. The handle shape/size isn’t my personal favorite, but once you lock it in, it’s not going anywhere. I don’t ever want to have to fight with a knife, and I’m not really a fan of tanto blades. Mine only serves secret ninja duty. Hasn’t cut a thing. Every time I convince myself to sell/trade it for something that I will actually use (this happens weekly), I take it out for one last fondle. Then, there’s no way I can sell it. It is the best fighting knife (MY opinion) that I have ever handled. Even with no need whatsoever for a fighting knife, I can’t bring myself to part with it. I hope that Jerry will one day give us a MOAPD.

Out of what I have, I'd pick these first.
satin jack tac, Boss Jack, Badger Attack tac, actually any of the Badgers are great smaller knives that I'd not be hard pressed to think twice about carrying in public.
I do carry my Cultellis (sp?) daily and it does not get a second look.
I have carried my Mean Street variations quite a bit, they hide well and are aggressive
The active duty is a nice little knife, but is a bit on the smaller side like the Cultellis, I'm starting to think over putting Badger and Satin Jack sized blades in my rotation soon just to feel it out. Not sure how they will be received though, but I have a way of sheathing my blades so they dont look so aggressive to the regular joe.

Long butaniku, short butaniku, gladius, etc etc. Anything I can reach out and touch you with you know what saying? After the bullets are all gone of course.

;):D
