Hello: Does anyone know what issues of FK were printed? Ie; January 91, March 93 etc. I am on the lookout for all of them but don't know the actual amount to find. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Doug

I miss this magazine. Greg Walker did a fine job of running it. I guess when Larry Flynt sold the magazine to that other knife rag they were not happy with the publication. I guess it didn,t cater to the knives are art and not really ment to be used mind set.

Stomper: Thanks for the list. You're a great American.

Happy Independence day to all, let freedom ring!!!!

I had a big Damascus sword on the cover of Spring, '91 :)

Man, that seems so long ago. I miss that magazine, also.

The entire reason that Blade magazine bought Fighting Knives was to get rid of it. If you remember, at first they said they would have a Fighting Knives section in Blade every month, and that was the last time it was ever mentioned. Blade is much too politically correct to discuss  fighting knives(the horror).

I also enjoyed Greg Walker's writing. Here's some good news. Dick Marcinko has split with his co-writer John Weissman, and will now be continuing his Rogue Warrior series of books with Greg Walker as his co-author.

The only really good thing about Blade Magazine is, they have The Blade Show every year. That about sums it up.

Buying and Destroying FK was an attempt to squelch the genre, or to at least control the growth of it. But the Genie was out of the bottle, so to speak. Even though Tactical Knives has never been the Magazine FK was...I buy it, but I don't buy Blade unless there is an incredible article in it, I pass...
