Hope I posted this in the right place.

Does anyone have any of the fighting rings with the small edge/spike that doesn't show during normal wear, yet can be turned around and used if needed?

I know the item is of limited use. However, I'm still interested.

Who makes them? Opinions of the makers? Quality?

Thanks in advance!

Saw something like that on the TAD website. The spike screws in, so you have the option of removing it and storing it seperately. Apparently there are other attachments in the works.

Thanks for the info!

TAD doesn't have their ready yet. I emailed them and the Jones Brothers to see what the current situation is.

Thanks Again,

Just FYI, the Jones brothers are waiting to have their computer repaired and have no email right now. Should be back online in a few days.

I remember hearing about "wolf rings" from the 60's. The spike was in the shape of a wolf's face with a pointy snout, but obvious what it was designed for. Some had gargoyle or demon faces too. Really cheaply made. Only jewelry I wear is a watch. Just my .02.

use one of those spike rings on someone, even in self-defense, and you can expect to do some jail time. Neither judge nor jury will regard carrying such a weapon as "normal" behavior, and every inference will be made against you at trial.

Of course, you'll be alive to be at the trial.

well, I dunno if those little spikes will deter someone in a murderous rage. For that you need something of a higher caliber, in all likelihood. If you use a gun in self defense you are less likely to be seen as a sadistic street-fighter than if you are packing a fighting spike-ring. Of course, you are less likely to kill someone with the ring, so the possible penalty will not be as great. Still, I'd feel better off on all counts with a kubotan, which is effective and also commonly sold for self-defense, something easily proven at trial.

Thanks for the info on the Jone's Brother computer. Good to know.

As for the trial issue, not worried about that. Most of the time I'm in places that it's not a real issue.

And, if it was. Then I will take my chances with the court. Much better than being dead. I have just never bought that arguement.

I don't think it will be the best thing since sliced bread. However, it can be another tool, and one can seldom have too many.

Also, for those interested. TAD replied that theirs should be in late this month. Their "dog tags" should be in early next year.

Thanks Again,

Perhaps if someone had the aforethought to make a nice biker ring with something a little more innocuous...like a Bunny, with pointy ears, and viciously buck teeth...:D

SC Steel,
Now what biker would wear a bunny ring:D

Besides, the buck teeth would be very un-PC and the jury could also hold that against you! Heavan forbid one of them was dentally challenged:p
