I own a Camillus USMC (hurts for the Army to say) fighting/utility knife (Kabar style). It is of recent manufacture, purchased in an Army PX. Can anyone tell me the differences in this knife and the one Camillus produced during WWII & Korea. Specifically, steel type, blade grind, blade coating, handle material, etc. Which one is better made, old or new? Thanks in advance.

Bruce,
Although Camillus does not currently produce the 7" Combat knife under contract for the Government, the overall specifications are identical.
Todays versions may be slightly superior due to advances in heat treatment.
