Big Papa, this Stockman is the only Fight'n Rooster I currently own - it is an exquisitely made pocketknife. I would rate it as equal to the GEC knives I own (which are all excellently made). OH
As far as I know are Fightin'n Rooster Knives made by Carl Schlieper in Solingen - or better to say Friedrich Olbertz. They have currently a Cattleman´s knife in stock that I find very appealing
They are typical of the 20 year old Bulldog and Eye Brand knives, which were also made at Olbertz. They didn't strive for water-tight backsprings, but did make a great heavy duty knife that looked good but could be put to work. There are many unique patterns in the FR line. But, if you have not handled them before, there was a different standard for knives 15-20 years ago.
