figure out what year my fieldmate 639 was made?

i know some have ways of figuring out what year the fieldmate was made in. i will have to double check when i get home, but i believe mine has the 639- on the blade. does anyone know of how to figure out the production year? any help is greatly appreciated!

Here you go. If yours has a dash (-) to the right of the model number as you show, it was made in 1992.
