Sorry for the tease and the delay....wasn't meant to be like this but this Forum wouldn't let me upload the files/pictures that I had....too large, my life story! :D :rolleyes:

Just got a note that this will ship tomorrow(today at this point...even better!).....almost 10" of blade.

EDITED TO ADD: Chris Tidwell, who's been working with Jimmy in his shop for many years, is the one that made/finished out this knife and it was given the Seal of Approval by Mr. Fikes.

I've had this Tanto for a while now but never took a picture. Jimmy tried a different finish on this but told me it was a real PITA to get his remarkable edge on it without taking that patina off of the blade. This is #7....which just so happened to be my favorite number to collect coincidentally....of Jimmy's 'Nightshade' series and here's a link to the testing of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRjOtyqJ6P4

Nice and clean in the unmistakable Fikes style! It looks chisel ground in the pic. Is it? Or are my eyes just playin' tricks on me again?
 
It's chisel-ground and then stropped to perfection.....hopefully have it in-hand by the weekend. :)
 
Geez, I swear I posted yesterday but glad I waited, now. That is simply awesome. as good a Jimmy's knives get. Congratulations on another great addition! Happy to see a picture of the Tanto, too, another winner.

Simple looking yet full of complexities...yep, definitely a knife from Jimmy! And a very fine one at that...along with the tanto!

I keep coming back and looking, what an incredible knife! I'm a big fan...

I've been watching the more recent testing videos and am beyond impressed with the performance... with aesthetics to match!
 
Chris is doing a real good job under Jimmys guidance, and hes also just a good fella!

I confess I know little about Mr Fikes and his work but what I have seen so far I like a great deal. Especially that big one up top!
