file work and CAD

Hi all,
I've been thinking of doing some file work on a Sgian Dubh that I'm making. I know that I could get some graph paper and use the marks to get even spacing but it occurs to me that CAD would be easier.
Is there anyone out there that is CAD nowledgeable that would make some file patterns that I could paste on the back of the knife? It would be a BIG help to have something to go by.

I found a very flexible ruler with slots cut in it at even intervals. I coat the back of the blade with lay out fluid lay the ruler out and procede to make even lines using the slots in the ruler. I got it out of a Micro Mark catolog.
