Well, I've finished the back-side of the liners. Corduroy has some cool pics of filework on his site-they really helped. It was much easier than I expected-if you can take apart the knife and put it back together, you've done the hardest part! The rest is just taking your time, and having a good set of needle files. I'm not saying it looks perfect, but it looks pretty darn good! After I completed the filing, I polished it with the Dremel. It sure did dress up the Carnivour. Next I'll do the bottom sides of the liners-there's much more length to work with so I may try to do a fancier pattern. After that, I'll be looking for a diamond-impregnated file to work on heat-treated blades. Thank you Bladeforum members for giving me the idea and the courage to try this. I now have a new hobby!!! (like I needed another one!)
