ok i know that a buck knife normaly does not have file work unless it is a WBC or a Yellow horse knife.
i reacently seen a buck folder that the owner said came from Buck with its file work and is not a WBC or YH...
does any know if ANY Buck knives
come from idaho or from so cal with file work?
or if it that you you can order it from buck tho buck does not so it..
any thoughts or info desired

...Dave...The 531, 532 and 535's all came with "file-work"...The Sawby's came with "file-work"...BUT...The "file-work" was part of the tooling in their prog dies that stamped out the blades...Other than those I'm not sure if any other Buck folders came with any kind of file-work from Buck...The 532's are right up there at the top of my favorites by the way...just that I'll never be able to afford one of the many Yellowhorse examples out there for sale...:(

...That is a nice 501 Mike...It is one of "Wild Bill's" works I see...I kinda wonder if Buck put out any other folders with factory "file-work" like Dave is wondering. With all the stuff they've put out thru the years it sure wouldn't surprise me...

...Mike...The 535 from '91 is "standard" issue but the Stag 111 is a Special Edition knife as are the 112's we're ordering now...If "drool" was worth anything , I too would be surrounded with knives and Mustangs...LMAO...:D

I have one of the 111's (elk handle) it was a 2005 limited edition in the buck catalog. The 501 is also from 2005 (sambar handle) and in the Buck catalog. This year it's the Duke 500LE (elk handle) with the same looks and in the 2006 Buck catalog. Oh ya... I have the 500 in bound. It's my fathers day gift from my wife and kids:D . I'll post a pic of the two as a side by side comparison.
