Filed blade- Flash II-camo

Hey guys, I guess you could say I have a used, SOG Flash II camo handles now. I took it apart and filed a vine pattern on the blade. It took a while, but it was worth it, it turned out very nice.
Wish I had a way to post a pic, maybe I can sometime. I used to do this kind of stuff all the time back a few years ago, but I have not been able to do much in my shop in the last year. The vine pattern is one of my favorites, as it kind of flows from the handles to the tip of blade, it actually looks like a vine growing I think.
I have never done one of my SOG folders until now, I did a SOG Outline last year, and where the bottle opener hole is, I put smooth brown bone to fill this in. I plan to start doing some of this kind of stuff I enjoy again. It changed the way the knife looked all together, it gave it a little class I think, kind of unusual with the camo handles as a contrast.

Last time I saw the SOG Outline was last fall, Spencer Frazer had it and he was on his way to Washington State, it was a little beauty, also filed with smooth brown bone attached where the hole used to be, one slab on each side and pined with brass pins and polished. I think it turned out real well, and Spencer did too.

I love spicing up an already nice knife, been doing this kind of stuff for years. I plan on doing some of the SOGs I have laying around collecting dust, it makes them very slick when they are all done.

Wildmanh, I did the Outline last fall and gave it to Spencer at rep. show last fall, he took it with him when he went home and seemed to really like it.

Girls ! Again ? You been thinking about them again ! I told you what this will cause, it will cause you to spend your hard earned money on ice cream and movies and not the real man kind of stuff like knives !
But it's ok to do every once in a while, just buy the cheaper ice milk and watch them older (cheaper) black and white movies and you will be ok.
