Filework on Bilton?

Has anyone done any file work on the spine of their Bilton? I got mine yesterday. Sharpened it up, and used it in the kitchen. Seems like it needs some file work, to keep my thumb in place, while doing fine cutting.

No pix, nor way to post them, but both of the JKM-1s that I acquired, "told" me they needed a finger choil in the ample ricasso and filework on the spine.
