Larry Davidson came down to Andrews, TX for a visit Thursday & Just got him back to the airport about an hour ago. Had a great time with him the past couple of days showing him how I do filework & showed me a lot of stuff about double action auto's. He's a world class guy. Me & my family really enjoyed having him down. Thanks again Larry for coming. Here are some of the patterns we looked at........

Bob, The Legacy has 3 3/32" back springs w/one blade on each, a regular clip, a drop point serrated blade, & a saw blade. The two small springs on the out side are 1/16" & have a blade off of each end of them. a small clip, a sharpened aln type blade, a plaining blade that looks almost like a flat screw driver & a coping blade, Here's a pic of it.

The gentleman the ordered it started out wanting a four bladed wittling knife & it grew from there. next thing you know he's wanting damascus, pearl, 7 blades & all the filework. I got it back from him after about 6 months or so, so I could get some good photo's taken by point seven & it came back all scratched up with syrup from cutting fruit, it was a mess, took me a full day to get it back in good shape for the picture. I asked him what in the heck happened, & said I told you I was going to use it. Anyway after he got it back He loved the way it looked again & told me if I ever needed it again for something to just holler. But it was an experience to build. It's 4" closed. Thanks for you kind comments. Dwayne

Stunning, elegant and clean.
Dwayne thanks for taking the time to post that beautiful work.

That Larry guy's work is very impressive and his designs are fresh too.

Hey guys, Dwayne's post beat me back.(Dwayne,
I had a ball and learned so much.)
Any of youse guys that don't know of Dwayne's work are in for a treat when you start checking out the fine and elegant work he does. It was great fun and lots of work.
Thanks for having me down Dwayne. You've been blessed with a great wife and daughters.
I felt like I was at home the whole time.
I'm tired now, so I'm taking a NAP!!! That 3 a.m. quitting time finally took it's toll.

Gus, Thank you for your kind comments on my filework, the Lord has blessed me with good eyes & steady hands most of the time. I'm always trying to get better. It helps to know some of the people I have had the chance to learn from. Thanks again, Dwayne

Richard, Thank you too for kind comments. Hopefully my filework will get better & better, I spend a lot of time on but always want my knives to be really nice, hopefully they will catch up to some of the really good makers I've come to know. Thanks again, Dwayne

Laarrrry, Glad to here you made it home safe & sound. Enjoyed your visit more than you'll ever know. The wife & girls enjoyed you too. Your welcome any time! Talk at you later. Dwayne

Dwayne, very nice, very elegant file work. I really like the nice thin lines you achieve. I also like the simple flowing lines of the designs. It demands great precision and attention to detail. Thanks for sharing!

Paracelsus

Thanks Paracelsus, I love to do it. I wish I could get my filework on there as fast as I hear some of the other guys saying they're getting their's on. Mine takes me forever but in the end I'm satisfied with the result. The only problem is when I look at stuff I did last year & the year before it makes me wish I had the money to buy it all back & through it in the trash

I hope I always get better at the filework & the rest of my knifemaking. I'm always trying to improve. Thank you for your comments. Dwayne
