I hesitate including these somewhat primitive blades in a forum containing such works of art but I believe that handmade indigenous knives might be of interest to members. These are a style of blade called sundangs and are made for uses where machetes would be used in the new world. I've watched these blades being made on the islands of Cebu and Bohol and always pick up a couple whenever I'm there. Hope you enjoy the photos.
Bohol made sundang with water buffalo (carabao) horn handle and an automobile leaf spring
These next three are made by Jun Silva in Cebu
This Bohol knife maker is making an all-purpose blade locally called a bolo, used for digging and general work. He's sporting an Atlanta Braves t-shirt and open toe safety shoes
