Got my first buck with a bow this morning, 180 lb 9 pointer, I'm PUMPED. Now my freezer is going to be PACKED with venison between this and my last smaller buck. I figured what the heck, and came up with this.

Ground Venison
Chopped Red Onion
Blue Cheese/Gorgonzola cheese

It's either going to be amazing, or terrible, I'll have an after action report soon.

First season hunting and I filled both my rifle tag and bow tag, and got 5 coyotes. All my friends were naysayers, "you'll never even see a deer". HA!
:D

You were doing real well until the cheese selection. I can't stand either of those so I'm calling those burgers a total bust, LOL :)

They sure look yummy though...next time hit the cheddar!

You definitely picked the right cheeses. Cheddar would just make them plain old cheese burgers. Your choice makes them gourmet.

Time for lunch now after this post!!!

Congrats on the 9 pointer, sounds like a nice buck, got any pics?

I bet those burgers are really good!!

For the record, the burgers were AWESOME.

Best I could for a pic for now, got him strung up right now and all I had was my phone when I got him.

Nice buck!!!

My first deer with a bow was about a 70lb doe, but I was happy since it was my first with a bow. :D

Those burgers look amazing. You had me at blue cheese.:D

Congrats on the buck as well.

Nice spread:thumbup:

Which state?

He burgers look great. Are they all venision or is there some fat or regular beef mixed in? They look outstanding. :)

A good bottle of Merlot or Cabernet would set em off....finished with a bourbon or two:thumbup:

Great choices on the cheese. DN just needs to refine his palate a bit. ;)

one of the two best plates of ravioli I ever had was a three meet ravioli with Gorgonzola crusted atop. Oh man...

Nice season so far!

Nice buck

I'll have to try out your recipe later, looks good.

Thanks.

Burger was mixed with some fat, so not the healthiest of dinners, but well deserved. ;) I had to drag him 4 miles.
