Filler tab does not fit

Any suggestions on how to install a new filler tab?
I just received a blue anodized one and it does not fit, no matter what I try.

What is the finish on the tab and the frame of the XM?

Only ones I've had trouble with were sand blasted giving the surface that added grippy texture.

Email the source of the filler tab. IF that was the Ranch, that would be Rob and I can assure you the matter will be rectified quickly.
