Fillet knife for the wet coast.

Looks like a very usable fillet knife, I'm betting this gets lots of use. Could you give us some more information on this piece. I'd like to know length, handle material, how much it flexes. I'm guessing it's intended use is large fish, Salmon? Is the handle "grippy", I've seen more than one go overboard, lanyard hole is a necessity in my book.

Ok, Win Heger.
Blade thickness .110 AEB-L
Blade length 7.5"
Handle 5" black G-10 and toxic liner finished to 220 grit for added wet traction.
Aluminium pins stainless tube
Kydex sheath

The blade flex is firm due to the thickness but it has lots of distal taper and is .005" behind cutting edge. I made this for my father in-law that fishes sockeye and spring salmon. It would serve as a boning knife as well. I think lanyards are a must as well.
