I just finshed this up for a customer.
He asked for a long fillet knife and this is what I came up with.
Specs are:
8 inch blade, S30V with machine satin finish
5 inch handle with black and tan G10 scales
Comments are welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Cool beans!! That is a nice filet knife. Which I am sure WILL be a pleasure to own & use.

its a nice one, a bit taller at the point than i preffer in a fillet knife, but then again, i never got to use one with that much height forward.. how flexible is it?

Thanks for the comments.
I started this knife with .135 thick S30V barstock, it is not ground to a zero edge, but it is ground thin. I can flex the the blade on my workbench. After discussing this project with my customer he as the same likes of a fillet knife as I do, which is a little stiffer than those $10 fillet knives, when I was doing alot of fishing I used to fillet with a Russell boning knife, so anyway it isn't wispy thin, but its what I'd consider a good thickness

Tuna belly, I think. Sliced razor thin, with some wasabi on the side.

Speckled trout, fried golden brown with cheese grits and cole slaw on the side.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
